Measure Carbon Footprint

DSCN3405.JPG

The carbon footprint for an organisation is the amount of greenhouse gas -measured in tons of Carbon Dioxide equivalent- released to the atmosphere as a consequence of the organisation activities. Any amount of greenhouse gas not emitted makes a contribution to mitigate climate change effects, that’s why we believe your commitment is crucial to achieve a sustainable society, the “climate society”.

The first in our journey of “neutrality” is to know how much we emit, and what the the sources. We have developed a procedure compliant with international standards, to quickly determine your carbon footprint .

Reduce Emissions

Based on the outcome of the Carbon Footprint, we will analyse and propose different options to reduce existing emissions. We produce a cost-benefit analysis that will give you certainty that emission reductions are cost effective.

There is significant benefit associated to emission reductions: improving cost efficiency and reducing costs through increased resource and energy efficiency. Another evident benefit is that the higher the emission reductions the lower the cost of carbon offset.

Offset Emissions

The last step in our journey to carbon neutral certification is to offset those emissions that are unavoidable. As the climate change is a global issue, a project that removes carbon dioxide from the atmosphere anywhere on the planet makes a contribution. Thus, if we help funding those type of projects, via “carbon credits”, we are helping to mitigate climate change.

There are some organisations that ensure emission reductions achieved via projects are accurate and their associated carbon credits can be tracked.
